VOTE CLINT FOR COUNCIL

- Kia ora tātou

My name is Clint Grimstone and after growing up in Levin, falling in love, raising a family, spending my working career leading teams in finance, my weekends coaching at Donnelly Park or volunteering for Hato Hone St John, I’m ready to put my hand up, and stand up to be the kind of councillor my kids can be proud of and their kids can be thankful for.

I offer strong financial and business acumen, have confidence in my ability to weigh up community needs with financial sustainability, balance priorities, ask the tough questions and make sound decisions. I have a mindset that prioritizes service to others and manaaki for our community and environment.

I offer you a vision for Taitoko Levin that is brighter than today:

Where our water and waste are effectively managed.

Our broken footpaths and stormwater system are fixed.

A place that is age friendly where you can stay connected, healthy, active and respected, whatever your age.

Our lake is restored to full health.

We enjoy a town centre designed with green and open spaces, where you can drink coffee or eat alfresco in a vehicle-free main street.

A thriving and vibrant local economy.

Better access to health care services and improved regional transport links.

High-quality sports and recreational facilities that directly enhance the health and wellbeing of our people and attract visitors to our district.

I’ll strive to earn your vote every day, not just on voting day. I resolve to use my skills to protect, maintain and improve what we have on behalf of our community, now and in the future.
