Happy to have made it to the finals in business awards
Darren and Anne Jensen own and operate Levin Glassworks Ltd — trading as Novus Glass — and their business is a finalist in the 2022 Electra Horowhenua Business Awards. Horowhenua Chronicle asked Anne if she could provide us with a quick glimpse behind the scenes to find out what it is they do.
We are Darren and Anne and we started Levin Glasswork Ltd in April 2008, and in February 2009 took over the Novus franchise for the Horowhenua region — from Foxton Beach to Te Horo.
With Darren having more than 20 years experience in the glazing industry, he knows what there is to know. We employ nine staff and feel we have a great team here.
As owners of the Novus franchise we lead the way in windscreen
technology, our staff regularly attend training courses keeping up with the latest technology, recently acquiring equipment so we can re-calibrate all the new windscreens with cameras.
This ensures all the safety features in your vehicle are working as they were when your vehicle leaves our workshop. And means no extra inconvenience to our customers as we can do all the work in store. And as the world leaders in windscreen repairs you know will have a job well done. We have had three of our apprentices recently complete their apprenticeship, with another one nearly finished. We are quite proud of these boys as they are a valuable asset to our business.
We work with the majority of the insurance companies and generally only need a policy number to lodge the claim on the customers behalf, saving them time.
We offer a no obligation measure and quote, being consumers ourselves we appreciate people like to shop around, but with our high standard of workmanship and excellent service you know you will have a job well done. We offer a wide range of services from cat doors to balustrades and general house windows.
We also have been quite busy with showers and splashbacks with customers renovating. Showers are made to fit any size with Shower screens also keeping us very busy.
Splashbacks are available in any colour from the Dulux and Resene range, with digital images becoming more popular this is another option you can have on a splashback, we have completed quite a few of these with the results being quite outstanding.
We entered the business awards as feel we have a business worth entering, we have a great team here who work hard and good at what they do, to get through to the finals is testament to this and a pat on the back for them. We are really happy to get this far, as we look at the other finalists and they are all great businesses in Levin.
