Wiki New Zealand

FINALIST, INFORMATION COMMUNICATIONS TECHNOLOGY; FINALIST, MOST INSPIRING INDIVIDUAL Lillian Grace doesn’t care what decisions people make – so long as they make informed ones. That’s the driving idea behind Wiki New Zealand, a collaborative website making data about New Zealand visually accessible for everyone.

Filled with graphs, thematic maps and infographics about our country, it’s designed to enable informed decisions in all areas and at all levels.

It’s data-only, no analysis, in a bid to stay as unbiased as possible. And what’s more, it’s a world-first.

Grace established a revenue system of sponsorship to get regular funding and to date has sold five areas totaling nearly $50,000 in revenue.
