“Idealog asked us to do something ‘creative’ with a log. It didn’t take Ben long to put two and two together. His dad makes bowls all day everyday and he employs someone who makes VR and AR all day every day. Making a video about the process is also a nobrainer, being a video-led agency and all. So those were the three pieces of the puzzle. From there it was shooting, carving, tinkering and shooting some more. The result: a bizarre video about a bizarre concept of turning a piece of beautiful swamp kauri into a beautiful bowl and then turning that into an absolutely pointless augmented reality app that allows us to place the bowl anywhere at any scale. What more could you want out of this incredible space age technology?”
