Loan confirmed for Ascot Park turf project

Porirua City Council has confirmed its previous decision to make a grant and loan to the Porirua Synthetic Sports Field Community Trust to develop a synthetic turf at Ascot Park.

On April 4 the council agreed to lease part of Ascot Park, but the use of funding out of the council’s Shared Responsibility Scheme will end on March 31, 2013, if the project has not been started by that time.

The sports clubs that the trustees have affiliations to are the Vikings Rugby League Club and Western Suburbs Football Club.
