Plunket shares funds boost
Porirua Plunket, Titahi Bay School and Tawa Swimming Club have Pak ‘ n Save shoppers to thank for a financial boost.
As part of a three-month nationwide community scheme run by the supermarket chain and Anchor, customers who bought Anchor milk were given a token to place in a specially-marked box at the check- out, indicating which charity they wanted to support.
Sharing a pool of $5000 in Porirua, Plunket received $2750, Tawa Swimming Club $1150 and Titahi Bay School $1100.
The scheme will continue for the rest of this year. Anchor spokeswoman Helena Jannetta says this is about ‘‘locals supporting locals’’.
