X-factor stars live
R&B and soul fans are in for a treat this week with popular performers Fourtunate and Adeaze playing in Porirua.
With over a million views on Youtube, Fourtunate, from Australia, have three dates in New Zealand, playing Porirua, Feilding and Wainuiomata. Their rise to fame came via their appearance on Factor Australia last year, with social media playing a large part in their popularity.
They are joined by Kiwi group Adeaze, made up of brothers Feagaigafou (Nainz) and Logovi’i (Viiz) Tupai. Active since 2003, they attribute their musical success to mum Salepa, who taught them Sunday school and Samoan songs with her ‘ conductor’s stick’ from a young age.
Show director Aaron Davey says Adeaze’s strong vocals and guitar skills will complement Fourtunate’s smooth R&B singing talents.
‘‘I thought the two acts would fuse right, complement each other and tie into the theme of the shows. We’ve got New Zealand’s number one R&B/ soul duo and Australia’s undeniable rising international act together.’’
The show in Porirua is R18 and begins at 9pm, at The Ledge bar. Tickets can be purchased online at eventfinder.co.nz for $25 or on the door for $35.
