Governance rules

A governance workshop is being held by Volunteer Wellington at Pataka on Saturday, September 8. Run in partnership with Unitec and Porirua City Council, the course is to assist leaders in the voluntary sector understand good governance and evaluate the effectiveness of their boards. Topics include roles, rights and responsibilities of board members. A certificate of attendance is presented to students who complete the workshop. Fees are $50 for Porirua people, $95 non-Porirua, $130 non-members. The course will run from 9am till 4pm in the Helen Smith Room. For further information call Julie on 499 4570.
