Club’s coffee break runs smoothly

-

Owners of the Raumati Social Club had few concerns ahead of its opening last week.

Coffee lovers have been lining up for weeks to get their fix, with the crew operating out of a mobile unit outside while renovations took place.

Gabe Davidson, Matthew Payne and Rachael DellerPincott have taken over the Poplar Ave cafe, formerly the popular food and music joint Lembas.

Mr Davidson, originally from Pukerua Bay, met Mr Payne, originally from Auckland, while working in Melbourne, home of Mr Payne’s now- fiancee Ms Deller-Pincott.

Between them, the trio have owned and worked in a number of cafes in Melbourne.

The cafe is open six days a week, with occasional bands on Friday nights and regular Sunday music sessions.
