Steve Lowe new chief executive for Splice Group

Mana-based business Splice Group has appointed seasoned executive and IT professional Steve Lowe as its new chief executive.

The company provides clients with IT platforms, geographic information systems (GIS), web based solutions and support programmes to clients. It has grown from four to more than 10 employees since it was founded in 2010.

Director Andre Post said clients including the three Wairarapa district councils, New Zealand Transport Agency and BRANZ had been integral to the company’s early success and that Mr Lowe’s appointment reflected the company’s commitment to growing existing and new client relationships.

Mr Lowe has worked in senior management and in directorship positions for Telecom New Zealand, IBM, AT&T and Alcatel-Lucent.

‘‘We have exciting plans to grow the business, and with Steve on board we can really make an impact,’’ Mr Post said.

Splice Group was a finalist in the Cyber Gold Category of the Wellington Gold Awards in 2012, and won the IT Category in the Westpac Porirua City Business Excellence Awards in 2011.

Mr Lowe said he was delighted to be joining Splice Group as it took off.
