Breakthrough for runners

- By KRIS DANDO

Shoe Clinic Porirua has always used technology to ensure its customers get the right footwear and now it has an even cooler gadget at its disposal.

A sensor device that measures the shock on the tibia (shinbone) caused by running is being trialled at the Porirua store, in North City Shopping Centre.

The device is the only one in the country and was developed last year by University of Auckland professors Mark Finch and Thor Besier. treadmill.

They then fill out a questionnaire, with the data and feedback sent back to iMeasureU.
