I am writ­ing to en­dorse what Gor­don Camp­bell said in his col­umn since the Dirty Pol­i­tics story broke.

I am aghast that some peo­ple say ‘‘never mind that, let’s get back to what mat­ters’’.

What could be more im­por­tant to con­sider in the run-up to an elec­tion than cor­rup­tion in high places?

Es­pe­cially from a gov­ern­ment that has al­ready demon­strated a con­sis­tent dis­re­gard for democ­racy and the wishes of the peo­ple, from go­ing ahead with min­ing and drilling per­mits after huge dis­plays of op­po­si­tion to fail­ing to im­ple­ment the changes to the MMP sys­tem called for in the re­view con­ducted after the
