Thanks from Cancer Society

Daffodil Day – an early spring day at the end of August – put Porirua people in a happy mood, ready to contribute to the Cancer Society’s annual street collection.

The people were generous and this year broke the record. The total collection raised $15,356 in the Porirua area.

The collection for the entire Wellington region brought in an outstanding $200,000, well up on the previous year.

As co-ordinators for the North City Plaza area, we would like to thank all contributors for their generosity, and our 40 or so volunteer collectors for again giving their time and energy.
