Z stations clamp down on crime
Z Energy is using the latest licence plate recognition software to clamp down on crime.
Z’s general manager of retail, Mark Forsyth, said the new technology had been successfully piloted and was now being rolled out around New Zealand.
There are three Z stations in the Porirua basin – Mana, Mungavin Ave and Tawa.
The software was the latest in a string of stateof-the-art security measures, following smoke cannons, SelectaDNA mist and an $8 million digital CCTV network on every site, Forsyth said.
