Make your own de­li­cious dips

Skip the store-bought ones and try th­ese tasty and sim­ple dips.

Have you got frozen corn or peas hang­ing around in your freezer? Well next time you’re en­ter­tain­ing, or if you’re just af­ter a scrumptious snack, why not try one of th­ese recipes?

SMOKY CORN DIP

Ready in: 5 min­utes Serves: 4-6

2 cups frozen corn ker­nels 3 ta­ble­spoons sour cream cup pars­ley leaves and stalks cup shaved or finely grated parme­san cheese Juice of lemon 2 tea­spoons chipo­tle sauce or bar­be­cue sauce

To serve:

A se­lec­tion of your favourite sides (like, carrot sticks, pita crisps, corn chips).

Bring a small pot of salted wa­ter to the boil.

Cook corn in pot of salted wa­ter for 1 minute, then drain and re­fresh un­der cold wa­ter. Drain 3 cups frozen peas 2 ta­ble­spoons nat­u­ral yo­ghurt 75g feta cheese 1 ta­ble­spoon mint leaves 2 tea­spoons lemon juice

Ready in: 5 min­utes Serves: 4-6

To serve

A se­lec­tion of your favourite sides (like, carrot sticks, pita crisps, corn chips).

Bring a small pot of salted wa­ter to the boil.

Cook peas in pot of salted wa­ter for 1 minute, then drain and re­fresh un­der cold wa­ter. Drain again.

Add peas to food pro­ces­sor with all re­main­ing dip in­gre­di­ents and whiz un­til com­bined. Sea­son to taste with salt and pep­per, and serve with your favourite sides.
