Showing off skills to parents

-

Another Father’s Day meant another opportunity for the kids at Hoop Club Ka¯ piti to play against their fathers and show them the skills they had been learning throughout the year.

Every year Hoop Club Ka¯ piti holds its annual Kids vs Dads games at Hoop Club on Fathers Day.

“This is something all the players and dads really look forward to,” said Hoop Club Ka¯ piti director of coaching, Angelo Robinson.

“It is always a great fun day with both the dads and the kids having a great time, both trying to win and getting very competitive.”

The dads were out in force, with the players keen to show off their skills they had been working on.

“The games were all very close but as always all of the dads were the winners on the day — as it should be.”

If a dad wasn’t able to make it players invited an older brother, uncle, grandfather or friend.

Hoop Club also held Mums vs Kids games on Mothers Day and at the end of the year the club has a family day at Hoop Club were all the families get together to play with and against each other.
