Make your own delicious dips

Skip the store-bought ones and try these tasty and simple dips.

Have you got frozen corn or peas hanging around in your freezer? Well next time you’re entertaini­ng, or if you’re just after a scrumptiou­s snack, why not try one of these recipes?

SMOKY CORN DIP

Ready in: 5 minutes Serves: 4-6

2 cups frozen corn kernels 3 tablespoon­s sour cream cup parsley leaves and stalks cup shaved or finely grated parmesan cheese Juice of lemon 2 teaspoons chipotle sauce or barbecue sauce

To serve:

A selection of your favourite sides (like, carrot sticks, pita crisps, corn chips).

Bring a small pot of salted water to the boil.

Cook corn in pot of salted water for 1 minute, then drain and refresh under cold water. Drain again. Add half the corn to food processor with all remaining dip ingredient­s and whiz until combined.

Stir through remaining corn 3 cups frozen peas 2 tablespoon­s natural yoghurt 75g feta cheese 1 tablespoon mint leaves 2 teaspoons lemon juice

Add peas to food processor with all remaining dip ingredient­s and whiz until combined. Season to taste with salt and pepper, and serve with your favourite sides.
