Get your Victorian glad rags ready

-

All was not as it would seem in the Ulster Irish settlement of Waterford in 1880. Something nasty is afoot, a truth will unfold and there will be a murder most foul.

Mystery and intrigue abounds at the Western Bay Museum during the auspicious month of August.

When the moon is full, each Tuesday and Wednesday a dastardly deed will occur at the museum and Poirot, the famous detective, will be there to uncover the truth, so the mystery can be solved.

The community is invited to put on their Victorian glad rags from the bygone era and come along as their favourite settler to enjoy cocktails and canapes at 7.30pm. Dressing up is not essential.

As the events of the evening play out, attendees will need to keep their eyes and ears open and their wits about them, while witnessing the plot thickening and the inevitable blood curdling conclusion.

Victorian clothing is available for free for anyone attending Murder in the Museum.

Costumes to fit all sizes and ages. Contact Tee Carroll 07 863-4363 or 021 039-9076.

Tickets for the Murder at the Museum went on sale this week at the Western Bay Museum, Main Rd, Katikati. Event dates Tuesdays August 4, 11 and 18. Wednesdays, August 5, 12, 19 at 7.30pm.
