Christ­mas tree lights turn on fes­tive sea­son

Waihi Beach is get­ting into the fes­tive spirit and will ligh­tupthe vil­lage Christ­mas tree next Fri­day, De­cem­ber 4. Chil­dren and adults alike will en­joy all the Christ­mas joy be­ing spread with car­ols be­ing sung by the United Church singers and Santa and his elf greet­ing ev­ery­one. Akapa haka group will be there to per­form to add to the even­ing and pop­corn and a sausage siz­zle will be avail­able.

Come­dressed in a fes­tive out­fit with prizes up­for grabs for the best dressed.

The lights of the fab­u­lous 5me­tre high tree will be turned on by a lo­cal child at 9pm.

Christ­mas light­ing fes­ti­val as it marks that time of year­weall love and brings us to to­gether to cel­e­brate,” says Nicky Austin, events co­or­di­na­tor for Waihi Beach Events and Pro­mo­tions.
