Crazy carrots!

How come carrots sometimes grow into crazy shapes? This is because something in the soil (a stone or a stick or a piece of bark or a lump of fertiliser) makes the roots ‘fork’ instead of growing straight. Too much nitrogen fertiliser can also cause crooked carrots. Feed your carrots with balanced liquid fertiliser once they are growing.
