SPRING BULBS WITHOUT SOIL

-

1 Fill a hyacinth vase with water up to the narrow part of the vase where your bulb will sit. 2 Place your bulb in the glass so that it sits just above the water, not right in it (a wet bulb will rot). 3 Place it in a cool place away from sun, but where you will remember to check on it. A cool garden shed or fridge is ideal! 4 First you will see the roots grow and then a green shoot. When the shoot is about 7cm tall, move your hyacinth into a bright room or outdoors and watch as the flower grows. Top up the water as needed.
