Cruise World

Cruise World Ltd. is a New Zealand family owned and operated company. The two founders are brothers Donal and Joseph O’Sullivan and they have owned the business for almost 23 Years. They are the NZ Representatives for Seabourn, the apartment ship ‘ The World’, Costa Cruises and for Tauck Tours a land and cruise based tour operator.

From an early stage Donal and Joseph recognised the growth potential of cruising starting with just three staff and only three cruise lines in their stable… including the iconic QE2. Cruising was considered a niche travel product then, and to some degree it still is, but in Donal’s words “the growth has been exponential in recent years opening up destinations and more and more diverse and excellent value holiday options.”

New Megaships with multiple dining, bars and activity options have brought a whole new demographic to cruising. Joseph says “In New Zealand there is also a large demographic of travellers attracted to the smaller ultra-luxury ships like Seabourn, which provides an inclusive style of cruise holiday in a more intimate environment.”

With multiple cruises lines in varying cruise genres including expedition, resort cruising, family cruising, specialist and boutique cruising, Cruise World can offer boats and ships ranging from 6 to 6,000 guests and everything in between, covering virtually any destination in the world.

Now with a staff of 20 Cruise World, as an independent, specialist cruise company, sells over 80 different cruise lines working in partnership with travel agents to service the New Zealand public.
