Mulch a great way to control weeds

-

It’s not a well-kept secret that using MegaMulch will keep the weeds at bay.

For 15 years Vaughan and Lynette Cruden have been brewing their quality mulch at Napier Road and providing home delivery to canny gardeners in the know.

“It’s really easy,” says Vaughan, who is a qualified horticulturist and arborist.

“You just put it on at least 10cm thick and it smothers the weeds.

“It also lasts at least a couple of years, eventually breaking down and continuing to feed the garden.”

It gives any garden situation a natural look and can also be dug in to help new gardens get a good start.

Their trucks Snowflake and Turtle (always last off the lights) give gardeners the option of 5m3 or 10m3 deliveries, with a 3m3 minimum.

“We realise that gardens, and peoples time are decreasing so MegaMulch offers a great option, visually and much less work,” Vaughan says.

“Our children have got their own properties now and it’s great to be able to share the knowledge.”

Vaughan is always happy to talk to new and older generation gardeners about any gardening or tree issues.

“It’s a great time to get weedfree with MegaMulch at present with a current offer of 1m3 free for every 4m3 purchased. The website has a handy calculator to work out what you need.”
