Cobras stung

The Linton Cobras’ dominance of the Wellington women’s club rugby league competition is over. Linton lost the final to Randwick Kingfishers 24-18 at Lower Hutt yesterday, having won the title for the past two years. It was 18-18 at halftime, but Linton made too many mistakes and lost too much ball, then Randwick scored another try to win the game. Linton’s standout players were forwards Bridget Lake, and Rikki Rawleigh, as well as strongrunning fullback Cindy Riesrupapera.
