Fraser Auret makes it his day at the Otaki trials
Marton trainer Fraser Auret came up trumps at Tuesday’s Otaki trials when he produced his ‘‘Prince’’ trio to claim the first three placings in the open 1200m trial.
Julinsky Prince has long been the yardstick for Auret and the seven year old was again too good for Alinko Prince and Thorn Prince in what was a fairly close contest on the heavy track.
Earlier Auret produced the unnamed Tavistock mare from The Myth to win over 1000m for four year olds and upwards.
Second was Deborah Parry’s Fruition.
The father and son training partnership of Adrian and Harry Bull also came up trumps with a Darci Brahma-huluava gelding to score in similar grade.
The open 1000m trial was an alllisa Latta affair with her three year old colt Just You prevailing.
Newly turned three year olds The Last Samurai (Showcasing) and Moyrabella (Makfi) impressed in their 800m trial successes.
