Burne second

Manawatu runner Olivia Burne finished second at the New Zealand 3000m championships in Wellington at the weekend. Burne, now based in Auckland, was running with Laura Nagel of Napier, but Nagel launched an attack with a lap to go and won 9 minutes 22.73 seconds. Burne was second in 9:27.23 and Esther Keown third in 9:33.28. Hamish Carson won the men’s title.
