Synthetic drugs bust
A man has been arrested in Levin for supplying synthetic drugs and possessing almost 4 kilograms of material used to make the drug. The 26-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday after police found drug material, 56 rounds of ammunition and a pump-action shotgun at his Manakau property. Detective Sergeant Karen Heald said the ‘‘significant’’ amount of drug material had an estimated value of $100,000 once manufactured into synthetic drugs. The man has been charged with supplying a psychoactive substance and will appear in the Levin District Court today.
