❚ Are the police willing to explain why they didn’t impound the car of a motorist travelling at 170kph?

❚ How come nothing about end of daylight saving? Not as if you’re short of space – we’ve had two articles about an obscure Feilding rugby club, presumably just as a filler, as it’s hardly interesting to most of us.

❚ I am sickened to hear in the news of the Sensible Sentencing Trust’s Garth Mcvicar congratulating the NZ Police on the recent shooting by police. C

❚ That smell of burning wood ruining the Easter weekend is the smell of policy failure. It is time to ban burning off. It is state-sponsored bullying.

❚ Sorry to say this, but I don’t believe in imaginary friends so I don’t see Easter Friday as a holy day. Just another restriction based on someone else’s beliefs. What about Hindus, Buddhists, Muslims, etc?

❚ Joseph Parker needs to find a better trainer, one that does not show off his skills and his fighter sparring on TV.

❚ Don’t blame the ref in Parkerjoshua fight. What he did was to stop heavyweights hanging and leaning on each other. It makes a better fight of skills.

❚ I read with interest the article on Asia’s beaches being closed because of pollution caused to ecosystem. NZ will suffer same fate unless the greedy tourist industry reined in.
