Double play for Cyclones

North. Kias, though, are still vulnerable to Varsity and will want a win with four tries against Feilding to give them a chance of a home semi, should

FOBO not get a full deck against

Linton Army at Kimbolton.

FOBO won 34-5 at Linton on May 12, so unless the soldiers produce one of their ambushes, it’s hard to see the Stags tripping up.

Te Kawau are likely to again rest Turbo Liam Mitchell (wrist) in their consolation flutter against Freyberg at Rongotea.

Points: Feilding 64, FOB-O¯ roua 51, Kia Toa 51, Varsity 48; College OB 45, Ob-marist 36, Linton Army 24, Te Kawau 20, Freyberg 6. The Manawatu¯ Cyclones women are confirmed to play a double-header match day alongside the Manawatu¯ Turbos at Palmerston North’s Central Energy Trust Arena.

The Cyclones will play Canterbury at 2.05pm in round four of the Farah Palmer Cup on September 23, with the Turbos kicking off their Mitre 10 Cup match against Wellington at 4.35pm.

It is one of two double-headers the Cyclones are part of. Their round-five clash against Waikato on September 29 is confirmed for Waikato Stadium ahead of Waikato’s Mitre 10 Cup match against Southland.

The Cyclones’ season kicks off on September 1, away to Auckland and then Counties Manukau.

Their first home match is against Bay of Plenty on September 15, before the home double-header clash against Canterbury.

They round out the season with a trip to Waikato, before playing at home against Hawke’s Bay.

All Cyclones home matches will be played on the main field at the Arena.

The side will be coached by Fusi Feaunati. Scott Lewis is the assistant coach.

This year’s Farah Palmer Cup has been expanded to 12 teams, with the addition of Taranaki. And Sky TV will broadcast at least 16 matches live.
