squad at the session, including Black Fern Selica Winiata, who was injured in the win against Bay of Plenty last Saturday, but not before she brought up her 100th first-class try. After the training finishes, there will be an opportunity for photos and autographs with the players.

Coach Fusi Feaunati thinks the training is the perfect way for the Cyclones to connect with their community and for fans to get to know the players that represent their province.

The Cyclones are looking to make the Farah Palmer Cup playoffs for the first time, which Feaunati said has added an ‘‘excitement factor’’ to the game. They are sitting in third place on the table, two points behind Canterbury.
