Lighting up the river

Palmerston North’s annual fireworks display happens on Guy Fawkes Night from the Anzac Cliffs, above the Manawatu¯ River. The displays runs from 9-9.20pm tonight.

Lest we forget

As the centenary of the end of World War I approaches, Massey University professor Glyn Harper is

giving a public talk about the capture of French town Le Quesnoy by Kiwi soldiers, and the New Zealand Division in Germany. 12-1.15pm on Thursday at Te Manawa. Entry by $3 donation to the Royal New Zealand Engineers Charitable Trust.
