BURLAP DOOR DECORATION

This easy, no-sew burlap bunny is a cute alternative to a wreath for your Easter door. Make a large bunny template and cut two pieces of burlap. Hot glue the edges closed, filling with batting. Add an adorable plush tail and a festive burlap bow. Source: chicametipo.com.br

BUNNY GRAPEVINE WREATH

To create this fun, bunny-shaped wreath, buy four grapevine wreaths – two small, one medium and one large. Soak the small wreaths in water and bend them into the shape of bunny ears. Wire the four wreaths together into a bunny outline. Wind a pretty bud or floral garland around the wreath. Finish with a large silk flower and a wired ribbon bow. Source:gardenclc.blogspot.com

GLITTER EGGS

Clean out the eggs by carefully poking a hole in each end, then blow air into the egg. Once the eggs are clean and dry, put white glue into a small bowl, dip in the eggs, blot excess drips and sprinkle with glitter. Place the eggs on a rack to dry. For polka dots, dab the tip of your finger into the glue, dot on the egg, and cover with glitter, shaking off the excess. For stripes, wrap two pieces of washi tape around the egg to make a straight line between and apply glue and glitter. Remove tape before the glue dries. Source: thegirlinspired.com

EASTER EGG BUNNY HUGS

What better gift-wrapping for an choccy egg than a hug? You’ll need coloured felt, scissors, craft glue, small chocolate eggs. Make a bunny template, or download one from paperandpin.com, then trace around it on felt and cut out bunny shapes. Now get creative. Perhaps cut out eyes, a nose and little rosy cheeks from felt, or embroider them, or use googly eyes. Glue on the features and add a little glue to the end of one arm and stick the other to it to create the hug. Then fold the legs up to the inside of the hug and secure with more glue. MARBLED INDIGO EGGS

You can use fake eggs or hardboiled eggs at room temperature. The marbling technique can get messy, but the end result is beautiful. Fill a disposable 1 litre plastic container to 3/4 with room temperature water (if the water is too cold the polish will sink). Add a few drops of blue nail polish (the more drops of polish, the darker and more covered the egg will be). Lightly stir to make a marble look in the water. Wearing rubber gloves, dip the egg under the water and swirl, then carefully remove and dry on a rack. Source: aliceandlois.com

SOCK BUNNY

You’ll need a small sock, felt, large pom pom, moveable eyes, ribbon, clear rubber bands, rice. Fill sock with about a cup of rice, depending on sock size. Tie clear rubber bands to create a head, one on the neck and one on top of the head. Cut a contrasting piece of felt to create a ‘‘belly’’ and glue on. Glue on eyes, teeth (a tiny square piece of felt cut down the middle) and a nose (small rounded triangle piece of felt) on the front, and a pom pom on the back. Cut the top of the sock in half to create ears, snipping the corners to round off. Tie a bow.

WOOL EASTER EGGS

All you need are small balloons, pastel wool, glue and a paintbrush. Blow up the balloon and carefully wrap it with wool. Paint over the wool with the glue. When the glue is completely dry, pop the balloon. Source: craftbyphoto.com
