Tennis NZ is putting a strong contact tracing policy in place for everyone who uses a tennis court. Hand sanitiser and cleaning equipment will also be available.

Sharing sports equipment, including balls, with people outside your bubble is not allowed.

You can travel within your region for sport and recreation but must stay within your local area.

Water sports such as surfing, swimming, paddle boarding and kayaking are allowed but you must remain within 200 metres of the shore.

Paterson also asks those who are accessing courts to be mindful of the equipment in the shared space.

Bowls New Zealand said most clubs would remain closed, preferring instead to prepare the club greens and facilities for a return to bowls at level two. It issued guidelines for those clubs offering a ‘‘low-risk’’ option for their members.

Mountain biking is permitted under level two but should be kept to low risk. Steep technical trails or those with large jumps or drops should be avoided.
