■ Nearly all New Zealanders speak English. Most take no notice of all the te reo on TV. If people want to learn it they will.

■ Instead of putting the pressure on business to pay highermini­mum wage, the Government should make a good tax-free threshold

and put up GST. People would have more money in their pockets, but they can choose how to spend it. Hopefullym­ake people think harder before they spend their money.
