Club raises funds for Kiwi
An English Super League club is stepping up a fundraising drive to help Kiwi propmosemasoe and his family avoid ‘‘a bleak future’’ after his career-ending spinal injury. The 31-year-old Hull Kingston Rovers captainwas left temporarily paralysed after injuring his neck in a tackle in January, 2020. Mose is nowwalking with the aid of crutches and is confident of ‘‘walking normally’’ again soon. But Hull KR coach Tony Smithwarned the Wellington-born former NRL star will need more financial support once he leaves England at the end of the year. Smith and Hull KR chief executive Paul Lakin are setting up a committee, along with senior players, to organisemore fundraising ventures.
