■ Let’s not be sentimenta­l over that derelict eyesore ‘‘heritage’’ building the Old Post Office/highflyers. Pull it down and put up a gracious new building that will be itself a heritage building in 100 years.

■ Palmerston North’s temp has shot up 1.5 degrees cos the new weather station is in a sheltered area. Might as well measure it inside the pncc building.

■ Yes Jenny, I’ve heard of those posts. Get onto it Stuff and the council. And YESMYD. I agree that plastics that can’t be recycled should be banned from all retail outlets. DB

■ Great when is this Government going to front up and bring in pickers for the orchards etc. The world needs FOOD and our Government are happy to see crops drop to ground and rot while we pay money to our own to sit at home. They don’t want to work!

■ MYD, fantastic idea to ban the use of on recyclable­s. How could this be done? Any ideas??
