Jason gets kids in groove

A young girl, Sela, discovers that there are more important things in life than worrying about what everyone else thinks.

She may not have a cellphone, Facebook, internet at home nor ever have visited Rainbows End, but a musical journey through colourful South Auckland will teach her that it’s not all about the destinatio­n - but the journey that really counts.

The Good Seed Trust’s pro- duction How Sela Got Her Groove Back iswritten and directed by Mangere local, actor and writer Jason Manumua.

The production will be at Mangere Arts Centre October 5 - 6.

This is the second production that Good Seed trust have produced, using children from its holiday programme as well as staff in the programme.

The children have no previous training in theatre, dance or singing and all rehearsals are done during holiday programme hours.

The production will be at the Mangere Arts Centre on October 5-6 from 12pm and 7pm on each day.

Tickets for adults are $5, children 12 years and under $2 and family of two adults and two children $10.
