CONCERT BOOM

The concert line-up over the past fewmonths has given a $37 million boost to Auckland’s economy. Music enthusiasts from all over New Zealand flocked to Auckland’s Western Springs and Mt Smart Stadiums to see international artists, including Guns N’ Roses, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, Coldplay and Justin Bieber. Adele also held three sold-out concerts at Mt Smart, bringing the total number of fans for all the Auckland shows to 300,000. An independent survey shows the concert line-up attracted more than 126,000 people from outside of Auckland.
