Will you help?

Powerfully Grey is the name of the Grey Power Marlborough team preparing to walk in the Relay for Life, Cancer Society’s major fundraiser, on February 23/24.

Each team earns money to enter, for example from their workplace or organisation.

‘‘We represent Grey Power as it is our age group that predominates in the numbers of cancer sufferers,’’ president Brian McNamara says. ‘‘Over 80 per cent of new cancers are diagnosed in the 50+ Grey Power age group.

‘‘Will you donate? All money raised goes directly to Cancer Society Marlborough, which relies totally on local donations. If all Grey Power members gave a dollar that would be nearly $6000.’’

If you wish to donate, it can be done through the GP office, 25 Alfred Street, or someone will call to collect it from your home or workplace. If you donate by calling in at the Cancer Society office, please say it is for the Grey Power team’s contribution.
