Marlborough Express - Weekend Express
From the President’s Desk
Another year has zipped by with every passing year seemingly faster than the one before.
This has been a good year locally with our numbers still on the increase; we remain one of the top associations in the country.
We are still able to offer very good deals with local firms and we thank them for their support.
Our involvement with Grey Power Electricity gives a very good return to Grey Power nationally every year.
Similarly with Kiwibank; for every member that joins Kiwibank we get a return. This continues to perform well.
However, I remind all members that as from February 1, 2020 we can no longer accept cheques as payment. We bank with Kiwibank which has decided to no longer deal with cheques. There are of course other options of payment. The bank has agreed to process your account with us manually if you call into the bank. I feel that this will not last long, however.
I would like to thank both Mayor John Leggett and MP Stuart
Smith for their very helpful support over the last year.
We also said farewell to Wendy Best after six years of very good service in the office. It was a pleasure to have Wendy around and she performed her duties very diligently but she must pursue her career and we wish her well and thank her for her service.
Her replacement will be in place for the start of the New Year.
I would like to thank the staff and all of our hard-working committee for their help over the year and I wish them all a Merry Christmas and return next year.
