The New Zealand Select basketball team were given a sterner test by host club side Jiangsu in the second game of their China tour. As on the previous day when they beat Montenegro 83-64, Jordan Ngatai led the NZ Select in scoring. His 18 points were gathered at an efficient 8-12 from the field as his side pulled away late to a 84-65 win on Saturday. The victory was built around a dominant rebounding display, a stat they won 48-18, 22 offensive. That was led by the US-college based pair Sam Timmins (12 rebounds) and Yanni Wetzell (seven).
