Let’s all play our part in supporting Sounds Air
connection for people in Blenheim, Westport, Paraparaumu, Picton, Taupo¯ , Wellington and Christchurch to other parts of New Zealand.
They fly to a lot of places where Air New Zealand doesn’t go, ensuring those communities remain connected with the rest of New Zealand.
They are a highly reputable business and a major contributor to the Marlborough economy. They were essential in getting medical staff around the country during lockdown and were crucial in providing services to Kaikoura after the earthquakes in 2016.
I’m incredibly grateful that our local airline will continue operating into the future.
There is still more that we can do to ensure the long-term future for Sounds Air.
I have been running a ‘buy local’ campaign and urging everyone in Marlborough to buy from and support local businesses. Sounds Air is a perfect example of a local business you can easily support by choosing to fly with them. Let’s all get behind them. By doing this we can ensure they continue offering low cost interisland transport so locals and tourists have easy access to the Marlborough Sounds and other regions across New Zealand.
