Manurewa team best bowlers
It was a fantastic three days for all who attended the Combined District Women’s Bowling Tournament last week.
The annual event saw 40 teams from around the North Island play bowls, socialise and enjoy time out in the sun.
Manurewa demonstrated great skill and were the winners of the tournament.
Two local teams also did well and came runners up in various categories. The Matamata team were runners up in the Plate category and Hinuera were runners up in Consultation A.
Bowlers played at Matamata, Hinuera and Rewa bowling clubs from Tuesday morning until Thursday afternoon when the finals were held. Results: Winners of the Plate: Putaruru, S Fielding, B Mccurran, K Hillard.
