Night out in aid of net­ball

The Mata­mata Col­lege A net­ball fundraiser to be held in the Mata­mata Col­lege Hall on Au­gust 31 from 7.30pm is sure to be out of this world, with lots of auc­tions, prizes up for grabs and a fash­ion parade to en­ter­tain ev­ery­one look­ing for a great night.

Spon­sored by The Vel­vet Room, the Shoot­ing for the Stars Fash­ion Ex­trav­a­ganza fundraiser will help the team get to the Up­per North Is­land net­ball com­pe­ti­tion in Auck­land.

There will be a guest speaker, sur­prise guest mod­els, and a prize of two weeks at a hol­i­day bach in Whi­tianga, plus many more prizes to be won from the auc­tion.

Mata­mata Col­lege’s 1st XV rugby play­ers will team up with the net­ballers to model in the en­ter­tain­ing fash­ion parade, cer­tain to be a big high­light of the evening.

A ta­ble for 10 peo­ple is $ 500, which in­cludes four bot­tles of wine, nib­bles throughout the evening, ta­ble ser­vice and a goody bag, and $35 per seat, with one glass of wine and snacks.

A live band will per­form and a cash bar will also be avail­able. Prizes from the auc- tion in­clude a $ 500 Vel­vet Room voucher and a Pan­dora bracelet.

Mem­bers of the team said it was im­por­tant to ac­knowl­edge all those who had helped or­gan­ise the event, and the coach of the Mata­mata Col­lege A Net­ball team coach Re­becca Carter.
