Matamata Chronicle

Farewell and many thanks

-

Goodbye and thank you.

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank all the fantastic people I have met from clubs, schools and community groups who make sport and physical activity happen in the Matamata Piako District.

I am leaving my role with Sport Waikato as the District Coordinator for Matamata Piako after 12 very enjoyable years to take up a role with Netball Waikato Bay of Plenty Zone as the community netball manager.

Matamata Piako is blessed with not only great facilities, a supportive council and some amazing natural resources but also hard working, talented sport makers who ensure there is high quality sport for our community.

It has been a pleasure working with you all.

Recruitment is under way for my replacement with a realistic starting date sometime mid to late September.

In the meantime any urgent matters can be referred to the Sport Waikato head office on (07) 858 5388.
