I have really enjoyed representing the Morrinsville ward for three years.

The upgrade to the Morrinsville pool and waste water plant has improved important community facilities.

I have enjoyed working closely with the Te Miro Mountain Bikers, Morrinsville Skateboarders and the Keep Morrinsville Beautiful committees, helping them achieve their goals for our community.

I have also continued the work started previously as a Community Board member.

Promoting a voice, services and funding for our youth

Pushing efficiencies and representing others’ points of view to the Council and Chief Executive. Top 5 Issues for a S.A.F.E.R. District 1. SAFETY – Community safety is a major concern for those living and considering a move into our district. Footpaths and walking tracks are two of my main priorities for the future. Traffic issues in Anzac Avenue, Stirling Drive and Seales Road/Coronation Road need our attention 2. AFFORDABILITY – We need to encourage and provide incentives to residents prepared to conserve water/storm water or waste resulting in long term benefits for us all 3. FACILITIES – We need to continue to increase our partnerships with both industry and service clubs in helping achieve the Councils provision of both improved infrastructure and recreational facilities. A community funding advisor would be high on my list of ways to assist our community 4. EMPLOYMENT - The Council also has to provide certainty, clarity and timely responses to those looking to develop or expand in business and industry. 5. RESPECT – Over the last term the four Morrinsville Councillors have worked well in unison to achieve some significant results for our ward. I seek your support to continue achieving great results for our ward and district as a whole.
