Tour­na­ment en­joys great weather

Per­fect weather and a beau­ti­fully pre­pared venue greeted a good field of play­ers at the an­nual Li­ons Club Char­ity Golf Tour­na­ment in sup­port of Mata­mata IHC.

The play­ers were pro­vided with a scrump­tious morn­ing tea pre­pared by a ded­i­cated team of tour­na­ment sup­port­ers.

Scor­ing on the day was again of a high stan­dard with win­ning com­bi­na­tions com­ing from vis­it­ing golfers.

The tour­na­ment field in­cluded 25 play­ers from the Ports of Auck­land fra­ter­nity.

The Ports of Auck­land group have been reg­u­lar and much ap­pre­ci­ated sup­port­ers of the event.

The level of ex­cite­ment in­creased when the Antlea team ar­rived at the event in their shiny black R22 he­li­copter.
