Day pro­motes youth foot­ball

A Waikato-Bay of Plenty foot­ball tal­ent cen­tre game day was held at the Mata­mata Do­main on Satur­day.

Eleven teams from Waikato and Bay of Plenty de­scended on the do­main, with eight Un­der-12 teams (four boys and four girls) and three U13- 14 boys teams.

About 150 play­ers trav­elled to Mata­mata for the tour­na­ment.

Mata­mata Swifts AFC was again com­mended for the work of their vol­un­teers dur­ing what is an im­por­tant re­gional youth foot­ball tour­na­ment.
