A fire crew attended a rubbish fire on a rural property.

A fire crew assisted St John with a medical lift. A crew also were called because of arching power lines.

The fire service would also like to remind people that permits are required from the council for open fires, and to be careful of surroundin­gs if lighting a permitted fire. Conditions are extremely dry in the rural area and fire spreads extremely quickly in these dry conditions.
