Mata­mata po­lice won­der­ing who stole the pies

Po­lice – April 14

A cafe in Wa­haroa was bro­ken into and 60 pies were taken. Po­lice at­tended an in­ci­dent at the Mata­mata li­brary where a lo­cal youth had stolen a tourist’s phone which he had plugged in to charge. The tourist got his phone back. Mata­mata po­lice also at­tended a crash on the Kaimai where a ve­hi­cle lost con­trol and hit a fence. The driver was un­in­jured.

April 18

– A per­son was dis­turbed on a prop­erty on Old Te Aroha Rd. Po­lice are seek­ing a male known to them about the in­ci­dent.

April 19

– Mata­mata po­lice found a ve­hi­cle stolen from Tau- ranga on the Tower Rd Rawhiti Ave in­ter­sec­tion.

–A Mata­mata fire crew at­tended a house fire in Ge­orge St but it was out by the time they ar­rived. A crew also at­tended an oven fire on Mor­gan Rd.

–A crew re­sponded to a pri­vate fire alarm at Fon­terra bulk stores.

–A fire crew were called to a rub­bish fire on Mow­bray Rd in Wa­haroa. A Mata­mata fire crew also at­tended a rub­bish fire on Sh­effield St.
